The Paikakariki Shooting Affair

(PKB PRESS ASSOCIATION) Wellington, Ap-ril IS. In the Magistrate's Court this afternoon, Thomas Edward Mclntosh, employed as guard on the WellingtonManawatu railway line, was charged with shooting at a native named Mutu Epairama, with intent to murdsr him, at Paikakariki on the night of the Bth instant, under circuojstances which have already been telegraphed. After taking a portion of the evidence the case was adjourned till to-morrow. This Day. Mackintosh was committed for trial for wounding Eparahauia, with a revolver, bail was allowed, £100 and two securities of £50 each.
