Accidents and Fatalities.
o— — — (Per Press Association.) Wanganui, April 16. On Saturday last, after dark, a canoe party of five returning down the river from a shooting excursion, had a narrow escape of drowning near Kennedy's, owing to the canoe turning over through very heavy weather. The names of the party were— F. Aiken, Ballantyne, J. Bell, Johnson and another.
