The Hon. J. G. Ward at Home.

(Per Press Association.) London, April 11. The Council of Foreign bondholders, headed by Sir J. Ludbock, interviewed the Hon. J. G. Ward on behalf of the New Plymouth bondholders, and requested that the Government should guarantee the loan, and threatened to stop quotations of New Zealand loans on the Exchange unless the demand is conceded. The Hon. Mr Ward, iv reply, said the Government were unable to guarantee the loan, or aid a private compan3 T in any way, whether its position was good or bad. Moreover, he flouted the threat of the Council. The New Ph'mouth bondholders have deckled to again visit Mr Ward.
