Mr Reynolds, the well kuown produce merchant, is endeavouring to induce tbe Shaw Saviile Albiou Company, and New Zealand Shipping Company to reduce the freight on butter destined for the English market by one eighth of a ])onny pev~lb. He lias «e<Jtucd 240 square fecfc space for dairy produce at the October exhibition of the National Dairy Association. Mr Reynolds sails for New Zealand in the Britannia. Sir W. B. Pereival, Agenfc-Geiieral for New Zealand, invites mcrchaut.s and vestories to inspect the shipment of timber cx-Mamari at the docks. There is slightly better demand for butter, but prices remain unchanged.
