As the weather was line a goodly number were present and everythiag went on nicely. The food was all that could be desired and everybody was satisfied. In the eveniug a meeting was held and addresses wore given by Messrs Hanaboy, Thompson and Hunt, all of which were of an interesting nature. The sum of over £8 was collected. On Thursday Mr C. Anderson bad the misfortune to lose one of bis fingers off his left hand. lie was engaged in doing some work with the pumps at the factory when the mishap occurred. We are glad to bear that Mr Anderson will soon be able; to resume work. Tbe three shops tbab are going up near the square arc nearly completed now, and they make a great difference to the appearance of the township.
