A SCHEME TO AMALGAMATE THE FLiIIEZING COMPANIES. | l'er Press Association]. Wkllixutox, April 9. At the Chamber of Commerce to-day Mr D. J. Nathan submitted a scheme re the fro/en meat trade, which tended in tbe direction of all existing companies in the colony amalgamating, aad fiic various works being taken over at a valuation, tbe shareholders in the existing companies taking shares in the new company. The Hclicmc, he^j[)ointed out, would require a capital of from two to four millions stcrliug which might be raised on tbe London market by means of debentures guaranteed in tbe Colon} at 3A pef cent, tbe interest and sinking funcf for which to be secured by the imposition of the tax of 3d per head on Hocks. It was c'eciiled to print the report and circulate it among othei chambers in the colony. Mr Gear, ol the Gear Meat Company, wrote object iug to the scheme, but .several letter. 1 : from others were received supporting it
