The adjourned meeting of creditors in the estate of Edward Browning, ofCatnpbelltown, was held yesterday afternoon. An offer was received from the bankrupt's wife to the effect that if the creditors paid her .£2OO they could have the property mentioned at the laat meeting, and she would pay all the debts. Another offer was made that if the creditors paid her £50 they could have the property, provided that they paid the debts and that none of the property was sold in the meantime. Last evening the Feilding Brass Band held their first practice in their new room, recently erected on a piece of land purchased by them from the Corporation in Stafford street, when the acoustic properties of the hall were found to be all that could be desired. The building is 30 by 20 feet with matchlined roof, covered with corrugated iron. We must cocaplitcent the band on tbe forward step they nave taken, and express the hope that the members will attend assiduously to practice, and once more regain their old form.
