Stock Market.
Gorton and Son report : —We had large entries of stock at our Sanson sale, and the saoie of sheep at Waituna this week. The sales were good in both places. We offered Mr Munt's farm of 197 aores, but it "was passed in at LI3OO at which price we are empowered to sell it. We sold all Mr Munt's stock, the cows which were of excellent quality bringing good prices ; the horses fair, The pigs were rather lower than at recent sales. Our quotations are : — Sandon : Heifers, forward in calf, L 3 loa 6d to L4ls ; fat cows, L 3 18s 6d to L49s ; 18-months steers, L 2 10s ; weaners, LI 3s 5d to Ll ss. Mr Munt'B milkers, L4 loa to L72a ; heifers, L 2 lls 6d to L 4 2-? ; weaners 22s to 33s Sheep : Sanson, 2-tooth ewes, 5s 7d : lambs, Is 5d to 3s 2d ; ewes, Is 9d to 4s 3d. Waituna : Wethers, 6s Id to 6s 9d ; lambs Is 9d to 4s Id ; ewes Is 4d to 3s 9d. Pigs : Waituna, weaner pigs, 6s ; Mr Munt's cows, Ll 8a 6d ; pigs, 3s 9d to 6s. _____ ____
