The Sawmilling Trade.
RESULT OF CUT-THROAT PRICES [PBS. PBE9S ASSOCIATION) Danevirke, This Day. All the sawmillers of Hawke's Bay were present or represented at a meeting held here last night. The state of the timber trade was thoroughly discussed and acknowledged to be most deplorable, cut-throat competition being most disastrous. A Sawmillers 1 Association was formed and they fixed a scale of charges.
