Feildmg School Committee.

Tbe ordinary monthly meeting of the above Committee "was held in the Schoolhouse last evening. PresentMessrs W. Carthew (chairman), J. Taylor, R. J. Thompson, H. Worsfold, A. Eade, and W. G Haybittle (secretary) The minutes of the previous moating were read and confirmed. Correspondence was read and dealt with as follows : — From the (Secretary Wanganui Education Board, notice re annual meeting of householders on April 22nd. Also, asking the Committee to appoint an auditor to audit their annual balancesheet. Also, re additions to the school which will be carried out without delay. Also, asking for the nomination of a candidate to fill the extraordinary vacancy on the Board. From F. Pirani, M.H.R,, soliciting this Committee's support in his candidature for a seat on the Wanganui Education Board. From Minister of Railways, re railway fares. The Head Master's report for the past month wns read showing the attendance was the best on record, the average for the quarter being 285 and for la=t week 293 5. The Inspector had visited the school on the 22nd, a very wet day, when only 110 were present in all classes. The examination may be expected about April 22. Accounts amounting to £1 was parsed fo" 1 payment. The school log-book was read. He>olved, That Mr B. Goodbehere be appointed auditor. Kesolved, That Messrs Taylor and Shearer be the Visiting Committee for the ensuing month. I This was all the budnegs and the Committee adjourned.
