Fighting in India.
* (Per Press Association). Calcutta, April 1. Sheraf Zue is closely investing Chitral with the Bruoa contingent. Attacks are made on the defenders nightly. The commander of a tribe of friendly Afghans has promised to get through with letters for Resident Robertson. The British reinforcements are expected to cross the frontier of Chitral today. The Viceroy reports the health and spirits of the troops to be excellent.
