The following cable message has been received by the N. Z. L. and M. A. Company: — Wool, — The sales closed firraly this day. Since the close of last sales, scoured merino superior, greasy merino, medium and inferior, fine and medium greasy crossbred, and coarse greasy crossbred, are id per lb higher. Scoured merino, medium and inferior, is id to Id per lb higher : for clothing washed and combing washed the market is easier ; crossbred fine, washed and scoured, are neglected ; other descriptions unchanged. The total quantity sold during the past sales is 255,000 bales, of which 132,000 bales have been taken for the Continent and 28,000 bales for America. It is estimated that 19,000 bales have been held over for future disposal.
