London, March 25. Tho report of the London and Australian Debenture Corporation Board shows the loss for the year was L9IOO, after absorbing the reserve. The sum of £'1100 was in the Greta Colliery shares and i-5000 in the Anglo-Australian Investment and Finance Company's debentures. The directors propose to reduce the price of shares to £4, with £2 paid up, and then divide each into four shares of £1 each, with ten shillings paid up. The various Agents-General met to-day to consider the question of Colonial representation at the Intercolonial Monetary Conference. It was decided to adjourn pending the result of enquiries that are being made on the subject. TheLondon Times declares that the British Cabinet is at sixes ani sevens and predicts a dissolution in a few weeks. The Liberal Unionists have resolved to support Sir M. White Ridley for the speakersbip. The Military Party demands compulsory service and permission to become members of Parliament and members of the Ministry. The ship Loch Katrine, 1200 tons, which left Geelong on the 6th December for London, ran ashore in the Thames, and is in a dangerous position. Ottawa, March 24. The Toronto Globe says that owing to the decision of the Federal Government to restore the privileges of the Roman Catholic schools in Manitoba, the Provincial Government is afraid, and Parliament still more so, of the effect on the people, and has abandoned the contemplated appeal to the country. The situation, therefore, is perilous. Constantinople, March 26. The Sultan has prohibited the exhibition of Mr Gladstone or Professor Bryce's portraits as a seditious act. The Right Hon.
