o A meeting of tbo creditor!) in the estate of W. Browning, of Campbelltown, was held yesterday at Palmerston The following creditors were present : - Messrs J. Glover, T, Kowe, R. Bowater, and J. Anderson. Debtor, in his written statement said that the reason for filing was that he had been pr< ssed by creditors- His liabilities were about £I\Q and assets nil. He made an offer of 5s in the £1. He had exchanged some property with his wife at Campbelltown. There had been a small mortgage on the property he held, and his wife raised some money, paid off the mortgage and took over the property. All the proptrtics were now held by her, the total mortgages amounting to £200. The D.O.A. advised the debtor to endeavour to place an offer before his creditors. His position was such that if he made no effort he would be severely dealt with by Judge Kettle. The meeting adjourned for a fortnight.
