Cricket News.
A cricket match was played at Taonui on Saturday, between the Taonui and Bunnythorpe schools, and resulted in an easy win for Taonui. There was some good play ou both sides. Taonui played three tl en short. Following are the names of play en :— Bunnythorpe : Walter Anderson, J, Jansen, H.Dixon, F. Jepson, D. Poole W. Jefferies, William Anderson, Ro berfc Stewart, H, Anderson, P. Gh Jansen. Taonui : Donald Grant Thomas Grant, Ernest Mexted, Chas Mexted, Douglas Bailey, N.eil Bailey, Arthur George, Arthur Morrell. A cricket match which is creating s considerable amount of interest in Feild ing is to be played on tlie local grounc to-morrow afternoon. The teams wil be Married v. Single, and although thosi who rejoice in " single blessedness" an pretty confident of success, many are o the opinion that the " old'uns " willgivi them a merry time. Play commence at 1.30 p.m. sharp.
