Feilding Football Club.
The annual general meeting of the Feilding Football Club was held in Mrs Oliver's Empire Hotel on Saturday evening last. Present — Messrs A. 0. Matheson, W. B. Giesen, Clark, ' Wilson, S. Strachan, O Cooper, W, Halcombe, R. A. K. Oldham, A. L. Parr, J. Whisker, W. Gosling, G. Aitken, B. Whisker, P. Giesen, H. Beard, J. Matrayers, J. Walton, S. Moore, J. Mingins, F. Saxon. Mr Matheson was voted to the chair. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. The balance-sheet was read, showing receipts for the past year, had been £29 13s lid and expenditure £28 7s 7d, leaving a credit balance in hand of £1 6s 4d. The club really worked at a loss of £2 12s lOd last year, as it started with a credit balance of £3 19s 2d. Resolved, That the balance-sheet as read^be adopted. The following: new members were elected : Cooper, P. Giesen, Gosling, Beard, W. Halcombe, H. J. K. Roe, A. F. Halcombe. The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows :— Patron, F. Y. Lethbridge ; President, Walter A. L. Bailey ; vice-Presidents, P, Bartholomew, H. L. Sherwill, B. Goodbeheie, Wm. Bailey, W. A. Sandilands, and A. F. Halcombe; Captain, W. Halcombe ; deputyCaptain, J. Matravers ; Secretary and Treasurer, A. C. Carty; Committee, Messrs Matheson, Cooper, W. Giesen, A. Richards, P. Giesen, Aitken, Gosling ; Match Committee, Messrs G. Say well, Matheson, Matravers, and the Captain, ex officio ; delegates to the Rugby Union, W. Halcombe and Matheson. The subscription was fixed at ss. Proposed by Mr Halcombe, seconded by Mr Strachan, That the Secretary be instructed to acknowledge receipt of the letter from the Secretary of the Feilding Sports Committee, and inform him it has been referred to the Management Committee, with power to act. — Carried. Proposed by Mr Cooper, seconded by Mr Strachan, That the Management Committtee be instructed to see that all spectators are kept outside the enclosure around the Oral during the progress of football matches. — Carried. Resolved, That a hearty vote of thanks be accorded to the outgoing Captain (Mr Matheson) and Secretary (Mr W. Giesen). A vote of thanks to the Chairman terminated the meeting.
