Rangiwahia Sports.

.» The Rangiwahia Sports will be held on Monday next on the reserve in the township, and, providing the weather is fine, should be a greater success tban last year. The entries are very good, . and consequently the several events . should be well contested. These sports offer a splendid opportunity for business people of Feilding to take a trip to this rising and progressive settlement, where they could spend a few hours with profit. On tbe road up some magnificent views can be seen. Foremost amongst them, at different points along the route, being the majestic Ruapehu, which rears its peak high above tbe surrounding country. To make the trip with comfort, anyone leaving Feilding would require to start the previous day and stop a night at Mr Lowes' Hotel, or Mr McNair's boardinghouse, at Birmingham, which is half-way, or go right through, putting in a night at Rangiwahia, where accommodation may be obtained at Mr P, Mcllroy's Hotel, orMrßelski's boardinghouse. The trip could be made in one day by starting early, but would be severe on horse and man, and the better plan would be to start the previous day. The Feilding Brass Band will be taken up on Sunday, *tarting|at 9 o'clock from Berry and Trevena's stables, by Mr S. Daw, returning after the Sports on Monday night. In the evening a concert will be held.
