Arrival of the Treasurer in London.
(Per Press Association.) London, March 14. The Hon. J. G. Ward has arrived in London, and interviews Lord Ripon this week. In the course of an interview be denied his mission had any reference to Nelson's Company or had any connection with the underwriting of a loan. He did not intend during his visit to interfere with the work of the Agent-General. He had no proposals to make regarding the Satnoan affairs, but was accredited with full powers from his colleagues to negotate with Huddart with a view to New Zealand being connected with the Vancouver mail service. Mr Ward mentioned to his interviewer that he hoped during his stay in England to counteract the effect of the false statements that had been circulated broad- ( cast regarding the Colony's finances. ; Before his return to the colony Mr , Ward visits Paris and Berlin.
