(Per Press Association.) Dunioin, March 12. ■ At the Police Court Peter John Shea was charged with stubbing his wife, but was remanded till Friday. The woman, though not in danger an Dresent, is suffering from hernia and is very weak. > Robert Chesterman, a sailor on the '■ Bluff Harbor Board tng Avvarna, died suddenly yesterday. The tug reached port today. The deceased was 50 years ' of age. Heart disease is supposed to be the cause. Auckland, March 12. A deputation from the Women's Politi- ; cal League waited on the Auckland branch 1 of the New Zealand Educational Institute with reference to the equalisation of the ■ salaries of male and female teaohers. The I Institute agreed to consider the matter.
