ANOTHER BANKERS' SCHEME. (Per Press Association). Sydney, This Day. It is understood the bankers are considering a scheme which will have the effectof strengthening their position. It is believed the scheme will provide a sufficient issue of notes by the general body based on liquid assets such as gold and Government stock, with a provision for enlarged issues on good security in times of pressure, safeguarded by a special charge. 1 Brisbane, This Day. The labor vessel Slycl arrived with an epidemic of dysentry on board. Two deaths have occurred, and she will probably be quarantined.
