Regulations determining the rate of travelling allowance to railway employes from the general Manager to cadets are Gazetted, also regulations under the Ciyil Service Officers Guarantee Act 1893. Mr H. Humphries, of Napier, has been appointed Crown Solicitor for the Wellington Judicial District vice Mr A. J. Cotterill. Donkin, trying to jump on a tramcar while it was in motion, fell under the wheel and received a double compound fracture of tho ankle. Dunedin, This Day. The New Zealand Drag Company, Limited, has declared a dividend of seven and a half per cent, for the half-year ending January 31st, and carried forward £13,453.
