The Stock Market.

Mr Charles Carr reports as follows : — I held my monthly stock sale at Birmingham yesterday, the sth instant, and it was the best attended sale I have had there. Every sheep yard was filled, twice as much stock coming forward as was advertised. There were a fair number of buyers, and I placed most of the stock at recent values. The following prices were obtained :— ls-month steers, 40s ; store wethers, from 5s to 6.5 ; ewes, mixed ages, 4s 6d to 6s ; 2- tooth ewos, 7s 3d to 7s 6d ; cull ewes, 8d to 2s ; shorn lambs, 2s to 4s 3d.
