A Distinguished Visitor.
(Per Press Association.) Wellington, This Day. The Hauroto, which arrived here from Sidney this morning, brought 70 passengers for all ports, among the number being H S.H. Prince Francis Joseph of Battenburg and suite and Sir Thomas Salt, chairman of the Midland Railway Company. Prince Battenburg stays here three days and then goes on to Auckland where he joins the 'Frisco mail boat on the 23rd instant. He is accompanied by Colonel Townsend, of the Second Life Guards.
