[Per Press Association.] Thames, March 4. One ton of ore from the Hit-or-Misß claim, Puriri, tested at the School of Mines to-day, yielded 240z of gold, worth £2 9s 7d per oz. The Alburnia Company has obtained 218oz gold for the month's operations. The Moanataiari Creek district is claiming increased attention, and shares in the New Whau are selling at .£25 per fiftieth of the whole. The Waihi Company's shares are at £Q ss. Silvertons are firm at los lOd. Boring is proceeding in Walker's Waihi Grand Junction property for the Martha reef, and an excellent description of country is being penetrated.
