The Egmonfc Farmers' Union report as follows : — We held our monthly sale at Okaiawa on Thursday 21st inst. Fat steers. £5 10s to £o 15s ; 2-yr steers, £3 to £3 5s ; 12 to 18-month steers, £2 53 to £2 18s ; mixed weaners, 17s to £1 6s 3d ; cows and heifers, £3 7s 6d to £6 ; pigs, (slips) 7s 6d to 9s 9d. Our horse fair which was held on Saturday the 23rd inst. was about the dullest and most dragging we have ever experienced. Draughts brought A 8 to £17 ; light harness horses, £5 to i-8 : hacks, £1 10s to £8. There was only a moderate entry at Manaia on Wednesday, the 27th inst. Forward steers £4 to £1 18s ; 18 month steers £1 12s to £2 5s ; fat cows, £3 12s to £4 4s ; springers and heifers, £4 to £4 7s 6d ; mixed weaners, £1 to £1 2s 6d. Sheep — Fat hoggets 7s. Albert Barn 3 and Son report :— We held our usual fortnightly sale of stock at Campbelltovvn (Wanganui) yards on Wednesday, the 28th ult., and we are pleased to report a marked improvement in the tone of the stock market, and a successful sale. Sheep— Fat ewes, 5s 5d to 6s 6d ; store wethers, 6s 8d ; lambs, in wool, Is lid, 2s 4d, 3s 6d, to 5s Id ; breeding ewes haif-bred Romneys, 6s ; other breeds, 3s 8d to 4s 8d ; old ewes, Is to 2s 3d. Pigs —Light baconers. 30s to 33s , good butchers 1 pigs, 12s 6d, 13s, 13 Id, and 14s.
