Railway Accident in Melbourne.

(Per Press Association) . Melbourne, Feb. 26. A passenger train to-day from Melbourne to Salo was derailed at Jeffcrso_r siding. The driver noticed the points half open, and tried to stop the train, but was too late. A fireman aud several passengers were injured, but not severely. Considerable damage was done to the rolling stock. The accident is a mystery, as the points were previously properly locked.
