A Labour Dispute.
(Per Press Association.) Brunnerton, This Day. A labour dispute arose at the Blackball coal mine on Saturday. The truckers demanded a rise of wages and the manager declined and paid them off on Monday morning. The manager met the miners on Monday night and asked them to do trucking. The? would not consent. On Tuesday all hands received fourteen day ß' notice, terminating their engagement. The blacksmiths and engineers wero informed there would be no work till the mine was again working- The men seem to fear labour being cabled from Sydney. The mine has been working badly, and would not average halftime. The wages 3f c considered low, compared with Brunnerton and Westport.
