Stock Market.
The Egmont Farmers' (Limited) report . — We are pleased to say that our prediction with regard to the improvement in stock sales, as mentioned in our report of the 7th instant, was literally fulfilled at the one we held in the Glover road yards, Hawera, on the 20th instant. The pens were well filled with Btock more coming forward than were advertised. There was a good muster of the public, including some outside buyers, so that all classes of stock were fairly well competed for, there being a briskness iv the bidding that has been for a long time absent, so that nearly all lines entered, changed hands before leaving the yards. Sheep were very dull of sale. We quote— Fat bullocks, £5 3s 6d to £5 19s 6d : forward bullocks, £4 3s to £4 19s ; 2 to 2_-year steers, £3 Ids to £3 15s ; yearling steers, £1 4s to £1 13 ; fat cows, £3 14s 6d to £3 18s ; dairy cows and heifers, £3 9« to £4 ; dry cows, £2 18s to £3 2s 6d ; 2 year heifers, £2 5s to £3 lis ; mixed weaners, 15s to £1 Is.
