A New Order of Merit.
(Per Press Association.) London, February 21. It is believed that the Queen has formally sanctioned an order of merit to be conferred on literary men of distinction within the British Empire. The order will be divided into three classes. The highest grade will be confined to 24 members, the second to 100, and third to 250. _ w _ mm^^ mm __ t _ «___
