A Liberal Victory.
(pee press association) London, February 19. The election for the return of a member to represent Colchester in the House of Commons in the place of Captain H. Leyland, resigned, took place to-day, when Sir William Pearson (Liberal) defeated the Unionist candidate, Mr Veriker, by a majority of 263 votes.
