Colyton State School.
A committee meeting of the above was held on Friday last. Present —Messrs Shortall (chair), Bray, E. Smith, King, Andrew, and Bramwell. The minutes of previous meeting were read and confirmed. Resolved, that Mrs Young, the caretaker, only get a half-month's pay for January, while the school was closed for the holidays. The Headmaster's report was received. Proposed by Mr Bramwell, seconded by Mr Bray, That the Committee regret that the Headmaster acted contrary to the resolution of the Committee in connection with purchase of gifts for the children. Proposed by Mr Smith, seconded by Mr Bramwell, That the votes of the Committee be given to Messrs Fry, Ross, and Robbms, but an amendment proposed by Mr Shortall, seconded by Mr Bray, That the name of Mr Mayo be substituted for Mr Bobbins, was carried bn the casting vote of the Chairman. Proposed by Mr Bray, seconded by Mr E. Smith, That teaching in the shelter shed be discontinued for the future. Messrs Bramwell and King were ap- £ pointed a visiting committee for next month. The acting teacher was empowered to get what stationery he thought necessary. mMammmm^ammmm^mm
