Pemberton Sports.

The programme of the annual sports to be held at Pemberton on St. Patrick's Day, March 18 th, appears on the fourth page of to-day's issue. It will be seen that the events, twenty-three in number, are of a varied and interesting nature, and there is no doubt but what the liberal prize money offered will induce a large number of competitors to visit this gathering, which is becoming more prominent and popular year by year. Two interesting events in the programme will doubtless be the Hunter's Competition and Tilting in the Ring. The Feilding band has been engaged to enliven the proceedings, while, as a means of finishing up the days amusement, a concert and dance will be held in the evening. As there are many people in Feilding who have not yet visited this part of the country, and enjoyed the magnificent scenery which is to be met with on the the road, they should not miss tbe opportunity of doiug so on St. Patrick's Day.
