Miscarriage of a Letter and its Results.
I Per Press Association. I Wellington, This Day. A paragraph has been going the rounds about a Dunedin girl not receiving notice she had passed the University matriculation exam, till a whole year had elapsed. Mr Maskell, the Registrar of the University, writes to the Times that a notice was sent in the usual way, but the letter miscarried, and expressed his surprise that no effort was made to ascertain the result till three weeks ago. This was the first the authorities knew of it. '
