The Half-Holiday.
- v I Per Press Association. I Wellington, February 11. A special meeting of the City Council was heli to-nigbt to consider a resolution by way of special order to provide that "Wednesday shall be the day for the weekly half-boliday in the factories and workrooms in the city occupied by watchmakers and jewellers in lieu of Saturday. After a brief discussion the question was adjourned in order that enquiries be made that the proposal was the unanimous wish of the trade.
