Association Football.
A meeting of the Oroua Association Football Club was held at the Feilding Hotel on Saturday evening. Present — Messrs J. Hare (in the chair), C. L. Daniels, F. Myers, A. N. Hayne, A. Gray, W. Halcombe, C. Carr, D. Beattie, H. Beattie, M. Burroll, and Bryant. Correspondence was read from the Council of the New Zealand Association asking the opinion of this Club as to the locality and time of year for playing future annual tournaments —It was resolved that this Club is iv favor of centralisation and that the place should be Wellington and time of the year early in September. A letter was also received from the Secretary of the Woodyille Club re the above, and also suggesting the formation of a district association, to comprise the Woodville, Wanganui, Feilding and other Clubs that may be formed on this coast. Mr Hayne was appointed Secretary, Mr Gray Captain, and 3. Hare deputy ca.ptain for the forthcoming season. The Secretary was instructed to write to the New Zealand Association re affiliation. Resolved, That this Club is in favor of forming a District Association, and that a vote of thanks be accorded the Woodville Club for moving in the matter. Messrs Hayne and Gray were appointed delegates to represent this Club in tjie District Association. The Capfcain, deputy captain and Secretary were elected a match committee. The subscription for the season was fixed at 10s. The meeting then adjourned.
