Stock Markets.

o Mr Charles Carr reports as follows : — I held my ordinary monthly stock sales at Birmingham and Feilding on the sth and Bth insts. respectively. Owing to heavy rains a lot of the stock did not come forward at Birmingham. At both places bidding was very slack aud all classes of stock were considerably lower except wethers. Lambs were very low aud I passed out several lines, not being able to get an offer. Birmingham. — Cattle : 2-year steers, i-2-ls; milch cows, £C>. Shcex? — Lambs, Is 7d to 4s 3d : young ewes, 5s 4d. Feilding. — Cattle ; 18-month to 2-yoar steers, i' 2to .£2 Gd ; fat and forward bullocks, Mi 12s 6d to £5 ss. Sheep— 2-tooth wethers, good, 7s 9d ; 6-tooth Roniney ewes, 7s ; lambs, shorn, 2s 2d to 2s 6d ; woolly lambs, 2s 9d to 2s lid ; fat ewes, 5s 6d. I sold 22 2-toooth Komuey rums bred by W, L. Luxford, at I.V guineas each ; 15 full-mouth Romney rams, bred by C, Pharazyn, at 1 guinea ; 7 4-tooth Romney rams, bred by E. J. Riddiford, at 1\ aod 2 guineas. Mersrs Abraham and Williams report : At our Saturday's sale an average number came forward. As a rule, the entry was of a better stamp than usual. Bidding was slow at first, but improved somewhat during the progress of the sale, though prices remained at a low point. Hacks made £6 6s to £8 16s : others, £3 to M 2s 6d : crocks, 20s to 32s 6d. Lowes and lorns' Masterton stack sale report; — Fat steers, £6; forward steers, £5 10s to £5 15s ; 3 year old steers, £i 15s to .£4 17s Gd ; 2-jear old steers, 75s ; fat cows 95s ; 3 year old heifers, in calf, 78s to 90s ; dairy cows, £o ; yearlings, 42s ; calves, 17s to 2ys ; over 200 in all sold. Store wethers, 6s fid to 7s ; small, 5s 6d ; small hogget ewes, us Id ; aged ewes, from 3s 9d to 4s 6d ; culls. Is 5d to 2s 6d ; lambs, 9d for culls to 4s 4d for shorn do Pigs, lls to 15s. Horse, trap and harness, X'3o. Hacks, 12 sold at from 3os fpr crocks to Jt'7 for useful hprses.
