The following tenders were received by the Pohaugina County Council at their meeting on Saturday last : — For forming and metalling 114 chains of road through Forest reserve :•- J. O'Connor, .±266 10s iaccepted) ; R. Horn and Co., £'305 19s 6d ; H. Giles and Co., £•285 4s ; M. Quane, McCurdy and Co., £413 ss; A. Brooking and Co., £391 2s 3d ; J. H. Anderson, £302 10s ; Bchreut aud Strawbridgc, £'535 ; R. Lyon and Son, £429 Is6d. Additions to County Council oflicc J. Long, £22 (accepted) ; this was the only tender. Collecting Dog Tax for current year — G. A. Lyuc, 10d per clog all round (accepted) ; H. Wishaw, B,d for sheep and cattle, and 7s 6d per dog for all other dogs; J. Gould, lO.ld for sheep and cattle and 2s 9d for others ; K. Gallichau, Is 2d for sheep aud cattle and 5s for others; A. Richards, Is per dog ; H. W. Ash worth Is for sheep and cattle and Is 6d for other dogs.
