Stock Markets.
Messrs Abraham and Williams report : —Sheep were in excess of advertised number. All kinds of sheep are dull of Bale. Wethers and young ewes moved off privately, but inferior lambs and aged ewes were entirely neglected. Cattle were in limited numbers, the demand being limited throughout. We quote : Sheep— Lambs in wool 4s, shorn culls Is 2d to Is sd, 2-tooth ewes 6s, 2tooth wethers 6s lOd, mixed 2-tooths 5s 9d, fat ewes, 5s 7d. Cattle— Weaners 20s to 30s 6d, calves 18s, yearlings 355, 18-month steers L 2 5s 6<J, mixed cattle 18-month to 2i-years L 2 10s, store cows L 3 ss. *
