Including Presbyterian Church.

The annual meeting of the above religious body was held in the church last night. The report of the session and that of the Sabbath School were made by the moderator and superintendent. Messrs T. Watson and A. Williamson were elected to till the vacancies on the committee, which now consists of the following members : — Messrs W. Watts, W. Smith, G. Bartholomew, H. Woolven, Dr Sorley, J. H. Stevens, B- J- Thompson, A- Williamson, and T Watson. The report of the managing committee for the year was read as follows : — "Again our finances indicate material progress, enabliug the committee to meet their engagements and pay a supplement of £10 to the stipend, which, last year, it will be remembered, was increased by .£3O. They have thus paid i."40 more than was guaranteed for 1893. The Sabbath collections have increased by i-8 12s ; those from Taonui by i' 3 ss. Subscriptions have increased by 10s only. — As indicated in last report, the inner walls of the church and the seats have been painted and renovated. The improved appearance and greater comfort amply justified the expenditure. — Miss Giesen and Mr Geo. Bartholomew contiuue their good offices as organist and choirmaster, much to the satisfaction of all concerned. — Messrs Jas. Long and W. G. Shearer retire from the committee, and two members are required to till the vacancies."
