THE LATE TEST MATCH. (Per Press Association.) London, February 5. The Daily Chronicle believes that Stoddarfs Eleven did everything possible against the remarkable bowling of the Australians. The Telegraph considers the miserable display of the English Eleven has not a single redeeming feature. The Standard remarks that cricket is at an unusually high level in Australia this season, and that the colonists are entitled to the warmest congratulations ou their decisive victory. The Daily Telegraph states that Stoddart's laurels are slipping from his grasp, and urges that desperate efforts be made to retrieve them.
