Labor Settlements in New South Wales.
(Per Press Association). Sydney, February 5. New rules have been approved for Government labor settlements, "wliicb provide for the appointment of a superintendent, who shall have full executiye powers in regard to organisation and management, with advice of a Board of Control. The settlers are from time to time to select a resident committee of five from amongst themselves, whose duty shall be to make recommendations through the superintendent respecting ' matters concerning the welfare of settlers and the conduct of settlements. This Day. The Governm€:nt intend to establish a labor settlement on the south coast in the vicinjfcy of one of the lakes so that the setters may add fishing to their other means of subsistence.
