The reply of Sir John Ponder, of the Eastern Extension Telegraph Compan\\ to Mr Ward's resolution at the Postal Conference regarding the guarantees, has been received and will be placed before the Conference to-morrow. London, February 5. Sir J. Ponder has cabled the Postal Conference that he does not sec why the Cable Extension Company should accept the conditions offered on a basis of one year's agreement, and suggests the term should be longer.
