Feilding State School Committee
i The regular monthly meeting of tho [ Feilding State School Committee waa i held in the Schoolhouse last evening, i Present— Messrs H. Worsfold, J. Taylor, J. Gould, A. Eade, W. G. Haybittle (secretary). In the absence of the Chairman, Mr Carthew, Mr Worsfold was voted to the phair, on. the motion of.Mr Gould.' The m|nutes of the previons raeetiag were read and confirmed. - Correspondence was received from Messrs J. H, Fry aiid J. Mayo, candi. dates for election to the Wsnganui Edu* cation Board, soliciting the committee's rote at the forthcoming election. Also, from Messrs Uarthew and Shearer, apologising for non-attendance at tho meeting. The Head Master's report was read, • the average attendance for the past week was 259-9. He recommended that the cpaiKnittee ask the different churches w arrange that picnics may take place either during the holidays, or, if that is not convenient, on Saturdays. With reference to the request from the _ Committee that the school concert should be repeated, he. received thq proposal fayor ably. JVJr Worsfold, as a member of the visiting committee, reported, that he had visited the school and found that the Board's oarpenter had been there. Ono room was new well ventilated, but he could not report so favorably of the others, one being badly ventilated. He understood the Board's architect had yisited the school that (Monday) morn, ing and other improvements would ba carried out. ». I^ t>p ?
