PUBLICANS UP IN ARMS. (PEE PRESS ASSOCIATIONI . Sydney, This Day. The standard time was brought into operation at midnight Sydney was put back 4mm 51secs. A peculiar complica tion arises. At Broken Hill previously Adelaide time was observed, but the new time places it 45 minutes ahead of Adelaide and there are great complaints from business men and publicans, who state they lose three-quarters of an hour daily by the change, and they threatened to ignore the new time and ask the Government to make a special concession.
