The following is the N.Z.L. and M.A. Company's report of the Christchurch market. Fat cattle— Average supply and fair competition Prime, 20s to 21s ; beef, 17s to 18s 6d per 1001 b. Store cattle - 20 yarded, demand slack, and values slightly easier Dairy cows met with good competition ; prices, £7 to ;£8 10a for best sorts. Fat lambs — A yarding of 1100 ; fair demand for those fit for ex port ; others neglected prime bringing 10s to lls 9d inferior, 6s to Bs^sd Fat sheep — 4100 penned, competition slack all through, and values low." Prime cross, bred wethers, lls to 12s 6d ; do ewes, 7s to 109 6d ; merino wethers, 6s to Bs. Store sheep— 37oo penned ; demand dull. Two- tooth crossbreds, 7s to 10s ; crossbred lambs, 4s 6d to 6s for fair sorts. Pigs— Average entry ; demand for baconera good at 3|d per lb.
