Outrages by Island Natives.
(Per Press Association.) Sydney, January 30. The schooner Santa from New Britain reports the mate and two of the crew murdered by the natives of the New Island while recruiting. Another desperate encounter took place at Garnet Island. A large body of natives attacked the boats, but were repulsed. One was killed and several wounded, of the boat's. crew were slightly wounded.
