Crisis in the Sugar Market.
[PEB PBESS AS.-OCIATION.J Sydney, January 29. A crisis is threatened in the sugar market. German manufacturers are offering a supply of beet sugar at £3 10s to £4 per ton lower than the local article after paying a duty of £5 per ton. This, combined with the estimated local surplus of ten thousand tons, is demoralising the market.
