Manchester Rifles.
A meeting of the Shooting Committee was held at Hastie's Hotel last evening. Present — Lieut. Bray (chairman), Lieut. Halcombe, Sergt. Aitken Corp. Parker, Vol. Scotfc and the Secretary. The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed. It was decidedithat Class C be allowed sighters for all future competitions for the season, and that the competition (Class C) on the 9th January be not allowed as the conditions were not complied with. Resolved that in future Bule 13 be strictly enforced ; competitors arriving at the range half an hour late will not be allowed to compete. Decided that it be suggested to the Finance Committee the advisability of selling the Snider ammunition recently purchased at sixpence per packet. It was arranged that the competitions for General Feilding's trophy and Class C medal take place at 2 p.m on Wednesday 30th, the morning competition not being held this week. The appointment of a marker was left in the hands of the Secretary.
