Stock Markets.
Messrs Abraham and Williams report as follows :— Our entry of stock yester- , day at Palmerston was below usual numbers. Sheep sold more readily under tho hammer than of late. There . was no alteration in prices except for ] lambs, tliese may be said to bave advanced somewhat where quality shows itself. Steers were tho only class of cattle that met with any inquiry. Busi- < ness failed to result though the price offered was much in keeping with recent rates. Other classes of cattle were dull, most of the quotations being arrived at by private sale. Cattle — 18-months, mixed sexes, £2 ; 2j to 3-year steers, £'6 os ; 2-year do, £2 15s ; store cows with calves at foot, i' 3 12s.
