o— — — (Per Press Association.) New Plymouth, January 20 A Dumerously attended meeting of farmers was held on Saturday to protest against the grading of butter in Wellington. A petition was signed by 500 far* mers asking the Government to suspend rparations of the clause making grading compulsory. Mr E. M. Smith, M.H.R., and Mr Adam were appointed delegates to proceed to Wellington and present the petition. The farmers complain that they have suffered heavy loss by the grading of butter in Wellington.
